Engineering services are provided for evaluation of sites whose future uses may include: Solid and liquid waste disposal facilities, residential subdivisions, industrial sites and highway and pipeline routes. Issues that are typically addressed during an investigation would include: subsoil permeability, swelling potential of clays, slope stability, ground water conditions, and bedrock elevations. Recommendations are made regarding engineered fills, soil stabilization procedures, winter construction, mitigation of freeze thaw reactions, rehabilitation of damaged structures, design of retaining walls and pavement design.
Geological services provided include: groundwater supply and aquifer testing, surface geology mapping, landfill subsurface evaluation and groundwater contamination and remediation investigations.
Inspection services include: compaction control of soil during rough grading, underground utility, surface works construction and installation of water retention structures. Additional services include sieve analysis for sub-base and base gravels during road construction. Concrete testing including compressive strength and air content is carried out using CSA certified procedures. Asphalt testing includes density control during placement and Marshall mix analysis.
